It is good to have it but if you are sure of the quality of the part and don't have it there is nothing to stop you from using it. The engine in my Lancair is better built than the ones in the SkyHawk or Tiger I have owned. It was built up as an experemental and used certified parts but it was just built to what I consider a higher standard. I am not sure this helps but good luck.
