Another way to increase the cooling outlet is to overhang a piece of metal below the bottom of the outlet. I hope that the following pictures are clearer than my words.
This exit vent was recommended to my mechanis by the factory to help lower cylinder head temperatures. I believe that they lower the temps by about 15°F.
