I have a Shadin Miniflow fuel totalizer in my aircraft. It has always been steady (around 7.5 gph) cruising low with my O-320. Last flight I noticed it was reading a little high, and would sometimes scroll up to around 9gph, then stabilize again...the so on and so on. Does this sound like a problem with my totalizer or my aircraft (engine, carb?). Thanks.

If your speed and/or altitude didn't change, it sounds to me like the flow meter is on the fritz. I have had to change mine in the past. The flow meter spinner is a certified device and costs at least $300.
One way to find out if the flow meter is working is to see if it agrees with the amount of fuel used. Both the fuel used and the fuel per hour are calculated using the flow meter.
By the way, the flow meter need to be mounted horizontally and not at an angle. I know that you have changed your oil cooler lately and you may have had to reposition the flow meter in the process. -- Lorn H.
