The best way I found to cut alum is by means of water jet. The question is related to the high electrical and thermal conductivity of aluminum. Here in Brazil it is also less expensive than laser cut. Silvio Novelli > lay out a panel in AutoCAD (or equivalent) and laser-cut it for you. ...........One alternative to this is to have is water jet cut [ or hydro cut] this leaves a very nice edge and is very comparable in price to laser cutting.
