returning from the big RV meet at Las Cruces where over 200 RV's got together with Saint Van to perform a communal mass (I did buzz the field at over 220 kts to show them how the competition flies) my alternator failed again. This is the second failure of the damn plastic interface made by Lord. I believe that I am still under the one year warranty from Lord and that they will rebuild the damn thing. Anybody else with similar recurrent failures? I am going to the airport to removed the damn thing and send the gear to Lord. My emergency alternator B+C barely kept up with the demands (IFR non IMC but at flight level180) despite turning off most of the load.
