Peter,
In your photo I cannot see the rear half of the heavy lay-up that
attaches the spar to the fuselage. This lay-up extends all the way
down
to the floor and if made just slightly long completely covers the jack
point. It nicely transfers jacking loads right through to the spar.
In the fast-build kits the front half of this layup is already done
for
you. You merely bond it to the top of the spar. Standard kits
require
the builder to do both front and back halves.
The rear half should extend down behind the rear of the spar and down
the fuselage side. I cannot see either of these in your photo and
therefore am wondering if this step was missed.
