The advantage is it has a plenum in the sump which eliminates the 90 degree elbow. It has been modified to move the injection servo to the front from the rear which raises the location of the inlet. This sump is about 1.5 inches shallower than the stock O 360 and it has cheeks that are 2.75 inches wider than the gasket line on each side of the sump. My concerns are the intake runners and exhaust system. I don't mind fabricating the runners but I don't want to end up with more than minor exhaust system mods. Has anyone seen one of these sumps on a Lancair? I have rough measurements I could use the next time one of my neighbors has his cowl off but I am expecting the clearances to be so close it will be hard to tell. Steve Colwell PS: I gave up on Lycon in modifying a O 360 sump for me. I finally had to make a trip to Visalia after a year of promises to get my money back.
