I'm planning on swiping the dome light out from my wife's Chevy truck and
mounting it just aft of the rear canopy bow.  In other words, on the forward
roof of the baggage area.  Don't know if that's low profile enough for you,
but it has individual controls for each passenger and a large dome light.  I
intend to put a red filter in the dome and leave the side lights white.

Maybe I'll even buy a new one ($39) rather than disassemble my wife's truck...
