Old formulations of Bag Balm did include mecury, probably as the antiseptic active ingredient.  However, recent formulations do not have mecury in them.  Check out the ingredient label.  I suspect the makers of Bag Balm figured out the majority of their product was being applied to hands and not dairy teats.
