They operate on battery without any need for alternator. I believe that I have measured the current draw sometime in the past but as I recall, it wasnt appreciable. If I can locate the info, I will include it here. BTW, I understand that the newer speed brakes operate without the need for cables penetrating the cabin so maybe the higher current draw is the price you pay for being modern...???
