I thought it could be the valves sticking, so I replaced them and it did the same thing on the next flight.  Next thing to check is to confirm all the plumbing is correct.  Scott, thanks for the suggestions, I’ll try the air deal next.

Perhaps this could happen with air in the system.  Run the hydraulic pump with the dump valve open and the gear down for a minute.  Then, manually lift the gear and close the doors and run the pump again with the dump valve open.  This procedure should remove a great deal of air from the system.  Maybe you should do this twice.
