Last year I flew my LNC2 into Fond Du Lac because I
didn't know I was going until two days into the show and I was scared to
death to try to get into OSH (I had not flown in since the mid-70s). This
year I want to be on Lancair row at OSH. My schedule is such that I can
arrive on any day prior to or during the show. I have a hotel room booked
in Fond Du Lac from July 26 thru August 4 and a rental car
reserved.
Question 1 - who else is going? (I know Scott K.
and Larry H. are racing from Kitty Hawk.)
Question 2 - when are you arriving?
Question 3 (for OSH veterans) - what is the best
day (and time) to arrive (i.e. when is the craziness at a minimum)?
I realize I could fly in several days in advance,
but I don't want to be sitting around picking my nose for several days waiting
for the action ( I've already spent two full days in the museum!). So I
guess I'm looking for a compromise between wasted time and aerial
craziness.
So what is the advice of the accomplished
Oshkoshians?
