Thank you for the heads-up. I had Sacramento Sky Ranch (they are the TCM dealer) call the factory and you are correct. new alternator but no coupling. DUH!!!!
When I originally called the factory "tech help" and explained the problem., they agreed that it was a coupling problem but since it was under warrenty, they said to have my local dealer (Sac Sky Ranch) order a new alternator and a new gasket.
I have cancelled the order and will try again with the factory tomorrow. The dealer wanted $ 1616 up front to get the new alternator and would let me worry about getting reinbursed from TCM.
