A few months back there were some posts regarding methods to label wires
and components.  Yesterday I purchased a Brother Label Maker Model PT-65
on sale at Staples for $14.95 (retail around $30) and it comes with 26' of
1/2" wide sticky-back white tape.  The lettering is easy to read black
halvetica type in 2 sizes, the smaller has 1/8" caps and 1/16" lower case,
the larger has 1/4" caps and 1/8" lower case letters.  It is their
bottom-of-the-line label maker, but for me, is more than adequate for
labeling hydraulic lines, electrical components, etc.  Refill cartridges
are around $9.  It takes 6 AA batteries, not included.

The nice thing about this type of label maker is that you can use it to
label all sorts of things, like file folders, hardware drawers, tool box
drawers, and so forth.

I think the sale goes through the end of June.
