regarding the alternator in a IV-P, mine went bust after 100 hrs and as the warranty was gone I got a quote from continental and the price was prohibitive. I call Lord and they were nice enough to rebuild the coupler for me, the gears were good so only the rubber coupling had to be repaired. the unit was new and the rubber deteriorated. the price was still a bit high but cheaper that an unit from continental or a new alternator. the service took a couple of weeks to be repaired.
