Thanks Curtis Krouse for sharing your experience in receiving your 320
kit and the joys of unpacking.  It was special to us because we just
recieved our 320SFB a week ago and have been going through the same
process, with similar excitement, apprehension and anticipation.  I too
was impressed by the efficient packaging and the sturdiness of the
crate.  Man, what a job just getting inside!  And when everything was
removed we were left with the incredibly heavy and sturdy base.  We cut
it in half with a chain saw so we could carry the halves out of the
shop.  There we discovered they made a wonderful working base to cut the
salvaged plywood and 2x4s to build tables and cabinets.  Inventory took
two days, and now we're putting together the stabilizer fixture, having
decided to follow Marv's lead and start with an assembly smaller than
mating the center section to the fuselage.  BTW, we picked up a
discarded mail sorting cabinet, the kind with an array of cubby-holes,
and are using it to store small parts.  With a grid numbering system we
are able to find any part at a moment's notice.  Worked out fine.
Isn't this a great adventure?         Charles Keller
