To all,
The clamps of interest come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Each has a
special name, none of which you need to know. I use "mosquitos" (small),
"Kellys" (medium), and "Halsteads" (large), depending on the job. They all
come in straight and curved varieties. Go to your local flea market and pick
the one that looks right. Better yet, by two or three. They will get
buggered up, and at about $3 each, they are cheap. On second thought, get
about three of each shape and size. You will find a thousand uses for them.
BTW, DON'T bother with needle holders. Their jaws are much too small to
do you any good, unless you are sewing up the cuts from putting in the
bolts.
Just for grins, my Garmin 430 captured 8 satellites to day with a
tailcone antenna INSIDE my garage. Not bad...
