Fellow fast glass flyers,

I wanted to let you know that AOPA does indeed insure experimental aircraft. I have verified this twice. Right now I am pursuing a lead Ron Brice gave me to Lee McKinely as posted
two days ago.

What I am hearing is that a Legacy is classed together with the IVP (from EAA/Falcon) A minimum of 1000 is required. No exceptions. No disrespect to the IVP owners but the two
types are as different as different can be. The  Legacy doesn't have the pressurization and complexity, nor does it seat four. We aren't the ones righting the rules however. I am
told that Lancair is aggressively trying to get a more fair set of rules and coverage established for all of our Lancairs.

I'll keep you all posted,
Don Barnes
