Bob Chesley, a former CFI, builder of Lancair 320 N4YH and an early
contributor to this mailing list, was diagnosed with cancer late last year.
He died peacefully at his home in Ojai, CA on Monday. He was a good friend
and mentor who provided encouragement and advice for my 360 project, and I'm
sure helped a few others along the way.  The following quote is from an
email he wrote a few days after his diagnosis, when he knew he would not fly
again:

"I'm really not worrying a lot. What happens, happens.   I feel so fortunate
to have lived the life I have.  And building and flying the Lancair was not
the least of the satisfactions...  Besides, it is said that cowards die a
thousand deaths and heroes die but one."
