He died peacefully at his home in Ojai, CA on Monday. He was a good friend and mentor who provided encouragement and advice for my 360 project, and I'm sure helped a few others along the way. The following quote is from an email he wrote a few days after his diagnosis, when he knew he would not fly again: "I'm really not worrying a lot. What happens, happens. I feel so fortunate to have lived the life I have. And building and flying the Lancair was not the least of the satisfactions...
