  Hello Berni,

  Like Moondog, I have just one small (5 vane) oil cooler. It's mounted =
on the firewall. I built a NACA scoop on the left side of the cowling by =
enlarging the drawing of the cockpit vent in the manual by 2X. Behind =
the NACA scoop is a plenum that gradually enlarges to slow the air and =
build pressure. That is connected by an extremely short (1") piece of 3" =
scat to another plenum mounted to the oil cooler. That plenum is sealed =
to the oil cooler with RTV so that every molecule that comes in the NACA =
scoop exits the back side of the oil cooler. My oil temps reach 180 in a =
climb on a hot day, generally around 165 in cruise. This is actually too =
cool and I'm going to have to put a butterfly restrictor in one of these =
days.=20

  My guess is that you may not need a second oil cooler, just a more =
efficient way to get more air through the existing one.=20
  If you'd like pictures, let me know and the next time I have the =
cowling off I'll take some, or we can take a look at SFQ on the 17th.
