Hi all,
Just a couple items now that I have 50 hours on N27RM.
I am getting consistently (like all the time) 265 knots TAS at 75% power;
guess the wing tip mod and horizontal mod that we did was time and effort
well spent! We do have the molds and can supply both these mods if anyone
is interested in the actual results, to say nothing of the extra good looks
they exhibit. I plan to be at the fly-in Don Barnes and the rest of the crew
have organized on May 24th so you can see how they look.
Peter Stiles did an accelerate stop distance test flight on 199L with the
new Hartzell Scimitar prop for me for insurance purposes. Results were
impressive:
3200' pressure altitude
Full Fuel
Two 190# pilots
No Baggage
Accelerate to 65 knots and stop distance was 896 feet! WOW I have the
original letter if anyone needs a copy for insurance purposes.
If anyone is curious about what their Legacy is going to weigh, here is
mine: 1678# empty weight with just unusable fuel, hydraulic fluid, tow bar,
headsets, oxygen masks, and oil.
For planning purposes, any weight you can get on the firewall will be well
placed. My empty CG is slightly aft of where I would like it to be, but it
flies and handles magnificently. More on that subject at the fly in.
Can't wait to see the "T" Shirt!
Ron
