costs in Germany: AVGAS $6/GAL * 14gph about $84, JET A1 3,9$/GAL * 9,8gph about
$38!!
The
Diesel saves us $46 per hour.
If the
SMA will do the 3000 hours saving would be $138,000
I
think as long as avgas is as cheap as it is in the USA the new Diesel engines
are mainly for Europe. What is really nice is the longer endurance you will get.
