Thanks to Don Barnes, Lancair will have a new data plate available very soon (I have the prototype on my Legacy, and will post a picture on this site on Wednesday).

 

All that is needed is 4 items, and one data plate, on the fuselage somewhere aft.  Mine is under the left horizontal where it is not readily visible….a real shame, as once again, Don Barnes has done a noteworthy job of design.

 

The data plate has a space for engraving the following items.

 

Make/model, serial, date of completion and builder name.  No need for weight and all the other unnecessary items on the Aircraft Spruce data plate.  I affixed mine with 1/64” two sided tape obtained from a trophy shop.  Can’t even tell it is glued on.
