It must be a small interpretation issue here, the glideslope display showing one dot above the crosshairs means you are below it.  Grab an ILS approach and look at the profile.  Notice that as you approach the FAF (OM) you will intercept the glideslope from below and start your descent before it (the altitude at the FAF is noted and is slightly below the altitude you were flying at, maybe 100 to 150 feet.  If you stay at the approach to the FAF altitude until you cross it high, you will have passed thru the glideslope and then start from above it.  One should fly the glideslope and cross check the altimeter at the FAF, meaning the intercept would be from below.

One dot above, gear goes down, verify three green lights, then grease starts going down and track the glideslope till DH...
