Hello Rick,

Here's my take on your = write-ups.
1. Lots of small paint chips at leading = edge =20 :-(  (expected but still disappointing).
Welcome to the club. I have very little paint = left on my=20 leading edges, mostly due to flying in rain. I am going to repaint = next month=20 and then put leading edge tape on the leading = edges.

2. While in IMC, the low voltage light lit for about 1 or 2 = minutes=20 and the VM 800 voltage meter showed 11.5.  I believe the amp = meter was=20 still charging, at a very low rate.  Then, everything was = normal.

I havehad a somewhat similar problem = several times=20 while flying in rain. The VM1000 manifold pressure gauge started = showing=20 erroneous values. Manifold pressure was up to 60 inches (yeah right, I = wish).=20 I finally solved this problem by putting a cover on the MP transducer = to=20 prevent any water from getting on the circuit board. After doing that, = I have=20 had no further problems while flying in rain.

3.  VisionMicro fuel gauge on left wing showed erroneous = values.  I topped off the tanks and it only showed 10 = gallons.  Upon=20 landing, it showed 0 gallons, but still had 10 gallons.  Today, = gauges is=20 back to normal.!!???

The VM stuff is real nice = equipment,=20 but very sensitive. It seems that you've got to keep it dry for it to = function=20 properly.

Glad to see that you finally got your "feet wet". = Hope that=20 you can fix the problems. The first thing is to try to keep all of the = VM=20 transducers dry. I even wrapped some 3 mil plastic around some of = them. Not an=20 elegant solution, but it works. Let me know how you tackle the=20 problem.
