I installed the Andair gascolator on my Legacy, but haven't figured out
how to drain it yet.  However, I do have a problem with the Cessna style
gascolators.  When using the remote drain nob it is difficult to catch a
sample of fuel to analyze for contaminants.  If a sample is not caught,
the fuel spills on the ramp which constitutes dumping of a hazardous waste
since avgas has lead in it.

The February issue of AOPA Pilot has a commentary by Mark Twombly titled
"Sumping and Dumping" that discusses this problem.  If you didn't read the
