Subject: Shoulder Harness NO NO

Something interesting (to say the least) happened to me that I hope does not happen to any other Legacy, 360 or 320 driver.

As I got out of N27RM, I took off my shoulder harness and laid it across the other seat as I exited.

I closed the canopy and walked away.  Later, as I tried to open the canopy lock, the shoulder harness would not let the inside mechanism travel fully up to unlock the canopy because the harness was under the lock mechanism.  Only with luck was I able to jiggle the harness out of the way and get my canopy open.

This happened as I left N27RM at the interior shop where this installation of the shoulder harness will be removed and inertia reels will be installed so that when they retract, this cannot happen.

Something to think about if you have overhead or aft baggage compartment mounted shoulder harnesses without inertia reels.
