Yes, that area behind the prop spinner is another problem, and visible in
the photos in my last post.  I have glassed and reglassed, even tried
inserting a metal brace in that area to no avail.   While still "green" I've
cured the work with the cowling fitted in place, post cure heating, etc. but
over time, the crack as seen in the photo reappears.  It looks like some
method of reducing the vibration in that area, like graphite strands and/or
a strengthening piece of some kind is required.  All of this is with over
900 hours on my TACH.

At the top and front of top cowling just behind the prop spinner I added
additonal graphite fiber strands and several bid of glass and graphite
around and under the spinner area.  Worked.  I have no cracking.
