Infact they did a software upgrade (alt hold when turned
on rather than current rate, which always seems to be +-200fpm)
with a *one* day turn around.
the $2k extra for the DFC200 will let you follow a LOC or VOR sig.. The few
times I do fly a coupled approach, having the AP
being driven by the GPS rather than the LOC isn't
worth the extra $2k..
heck, when I had a Stec-50, that could follow the LOC, I usually
had it follow the heading bug anyway. spend the $2k on something else..
