Another option. There are bolts that have a
flat flange on the head with a 3/16th hole to which you can bolt the swagged
fitting onto the bolt and thus the assembly is hinged. The same bolts we
mounted through the firewall to attach the other ends of the rudder
cables. This eliminates the cable working at the swagged point hence
safer. You still have the possible misallignment problem where the cable
exits the fuselage. Careful foreplanning may eliminate that
situation.
