There has not been any significant progress made towards production of the Thermowing de-ice system for the Lancair family of aircraft.  We have therefore decided to offer to our customers a proven de-ice system which will be available as soon as May of 2003.  The TKS "weeping wing" de-ice system is currently being used on several certificated aircraft including such other composite aircraft as the Cirrus.  While the Thermowing design may eventually become state of the art, it is certainly unavailable at this time and we cannot predict when it will become commercially available.
