Rob,

The sleeve is larger in diameter than the holes in the nose gear tabs.
Do not enlarge the tab holes. Yes, the drag link will now rotate around
the sleeve, be sure to properly shim on either side of the drag link.
The sleeve is held firmly in place by the same bolt used previously but
now with a lock nut as opposed to a castle nut.

A simple, cheap solution but perhaps not as elegant as your rod end
bearing.
