Although there has been much discussion about flutter and the need for
flutter analysis, to my knowledge the only reported flutter occurred on a
235 with a big engine and going over Vne. The pilot lived to flutter a
second time. The fix was an additional bulkhead in the empenage.
The whole story is written up in the Lancair Network News, look in the
arcives under flutter. For the entire Lancair family of aircraft if you fly
below Vne, you should not have a flutter problem and the history proves it.
