I love to hear "I put my butt behind my work" advise. 38 hrs on your PERSONAL plane and knowing of a FAST IV-P with 600 hours
on it really supports your statement.

I will follow your method and maybe put a rivet on each end as others have suggested to avoid the peel factor.
