For whatever it is worth, I ran a couple of wires (can't remember what
gauge) from the battery to the right hand wheel well.  Actually, the two
posts (bolts) protrude from the cockpit closeout rib.  I keep a trickle
charger on my battery from those posts whenever my airplane is inactive for
more than four or so days.  I have got a jump start from those posts in the
wheel well once when my battery was in the process of dying.  I have enjoyed
much greater battery life now since I use the trickle charger.

My battery is right behind the right hand seat.

I have the piano hinge cowel setup and so to remove the canopy to charge

battery is a pain. Is it possible to charge the battery using the battery
lead from the alternator. I guess I would have to turn on the master and
