I would like to second the post of Bill Harrelson regarding the right side
rudder pedals/brakes.  I did not install them and I do not miss them.  The
following is pertinent:

1. I don't do any instructing and never intend to.
2. The local CFII was most happy to ride with me for my BFR and instrument
competency check.
3. My briefing to my passengers is that should I become incapacitated, they
are to land the airplane wheels up.
4. I have a lighter and less complex airplane.
5. I can, and do, stuff various baggage items forward on the right side for
convenience and to help keep the CG in reasonable limits, whether I am alone
or with a passenger.  My wife rides with her makeup bag, purse, bottled
water, a bag of fruit or sandwiches etc. around her feet.  With me and a
passenger and two sets of golf clubs, I tape together the clubs of one set
and put them on the right side beside the passenger.  The other bag and
clubs goes in the baggage area with the club heads between us.  The empty
bag is aft somewhere.

This is just another input for builders.  The beauty of it is that you can
do whatever you want to do with your airplane.  Any way you cut it, it is a
great airplane, a great challenge to build and such fun to fly once you get
it done.

I did not build in right rudder pedals in my LNC2 and have never missed
them. In addition to the simplicity and weight factors that Greg
mentioned,
I find the right foot well to be a great cargo area when I'm flying alone.
