Marv,
It seems that we
would like to have the broadly based proactive nature of a mail list and
the historical threads that come with a forum, each one having beneficial
componenets that the other lacks.
To broaden the
discussion the follwoing is just a thought:
- Create a forum site
that lists topics and creates a historical thread of
comments.
- When a member
creats a comment in the forum, it would generate an email to all
list members of the comment.
- A link on the
email would allow the email recipient to go to the comment and
participate in the discussion and also back up through the history if so
desired.
- Most likely, all
topics would have to originate at the forum.
