Pardon the blatant commercialism but I am about to put an MT 4 blade prop up on ebay and I thought I would offer it to the list at the reserve price of $8,500.00. Replacement value is >$14K.

It is a MTV-14B-190-17 with about 600 hours on it. The price includes the spinner, hardware, governor, logbook, manual and factory crate. It was the original prop from my IV-P (N170BR) and was the prop on the plane when I won the Great Cross Country Race and the Lancair 100 race. I removed it to install an MT reversing 4 blade because I wanted the extra stopping power. I operate out of a 2200 foot strip at 2,700 MSL and frequently have to land with a gusting tail wind.

This prop is in great shape and was working perfectly when removed. It has never been seriously damaged, only minor rock dings and chips and has been maintained per the MT factory recommendations. It has the modified pitch stops for high altitude/high speed flight. It does not have the latest revision blade seals (new lip seal versus the old O-ring seal) which became available about a year ago. The bolt pattern is for a Lycoming. The governor was purchased new and has about 350 hours TT.

The reserve price is less than the cost of 4 new blades from MT.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming....
