Graham Nutt's solution sounds interesting.
The Legacy canopy latch mechanism is pretty much the same as the 360, so
Graham's innovation should work. Another suggestion I heard while talking
to a fellow Legacy builder was to add material (possibly several layers of
glass) underneath the canopy joggle on the inside of the fuselage, above
the exterior latch handle and in front of the seat back. Then on the
outside remove just enough material (most likely using a small drum
sander) where the joggle meets the side of the fuselage to form a
small pocket under the edge of the canopy. Make the pocket just large
enough to insert your fingertips so you can lift up on the canopy. I
haven't decided what to do on my Legacy yet. Right now I'm wrestlng with
the nose gear strut alignment. Sometimes C-clamps just don't want to
cooperate.
