[LML] Re: Flap position indicator
system
I would like to see the photos. Can
the marks be seen at night?
The first 2 photos are from my plane. The 3rd is from Jen's
LNC2.
Jen's marks are just to the outside of the wing attachment. Mine
are just about 1.5 ft from the inboard edge of the flap. When looking
at my marks, I have to turn my head quite a ways. I think that they
would be easier to read if moved further outboard.
At night I either use a flashlight or count. A 2 second count
positions the flaps at 10 deg. Another 2 second count positions them
at 25 deg. The next 2 seconds gives me 35 deg and a final 2 seconds
gives me full flaps. I use the marks more to verify my counts then to
actually position the flaps.
