Hi Rob
Try these two addresses for polymethacrylimide foam:
Richmond Aircraft Products, Norwalk , Ca. (562) 404-2440
and
Rohm Chemische, (sorry, don't have the phone)
But if it's only a small area, you may want to go with Divinycell or better
yet, aerospace grade balsa. You can get the really light balsa in 4-5 lb
density and with the AL 600 sealer treatment. The balsa will have better
physicals than the Rohacell but be carefull to avoid resin starvation when
bonding in place. Also watch your fiber alignment so that they match and
also taper your laminate to avoid hard spots.
I have several suppliers of these materials. Locally for very small qty's I
go to Svendsens Marine Chandlery (where I get much of my boat supplies also)
at (510) 522-7860 in Alameda, Ca. For larger case size orders, I go to
Monterey Bay Fiberglass in Santa Cruz, Ca. (again, sorry, no phone number but
I'm not in my office). They may be able to get Rohacell, also.
