Lorn, I have an 0-320-D1F. Drops from 1700 to 1600 on the right. 1700 to
1590 on the left. I think I'm testing it at the engine manual recommended
rpm. You might try it at 1700 and see what you get.

When testing my mags, at engine runnup time, My RPM drop is about 160
RPMs on both the left and right mag. That is, 1,600 RPM goes to
1,440. The engine is listed below. Is this normal?<<<
