Hey guys. I don't want to change the subject from all of the engineering
calculations, but...
Sue and I just got back from a couple of days at Basin Harbor Resort in
Vermont. What a great place to fly to. They have a 3,000 ft grass runway
that is acceptably smooth for a Lancair. The setting is perfect, right on
Lake Champlain With the Adirondac mountains as a background. As a matter of
fact, our cottage had a deck that hung out over the lake. We had a bottle of
champagne at sunset on the deck, see the picture below. This is an old time
New England resort managed by the 4th generation of the same family.
Fantastic food, great wine list, well trained staff, lots of activities from
sailing, biking, golf, tennis, fishing and more. Most importantly, a runway
on site right next to the golf course and one of the restaurants.
This is why we build these great traveling machines. Hey, we need to do all
the calculations and critique each others ideas and techniques. But in the
end, this is what it's all about. Build a dependable machine and it will
take you to places like this. http://www.basinharbor.com/index.shtml
