What's the difference between aviation and automotive oils, other than price?  Any reason we shouldn't use automotive oils in experimental aircraft?

The last time that I had my oil analyzed, The "Flashpoint in deg F" was listed as 510 (Aeroshell 100+). The analysis said that the flashpoint should be more than 460 degrees. What is the flashpoint of automotive oil?
