The overhaul kit that Lancair sells DOES NOT include the special washer (with a center rubber O-ring) needed to seal the unit internally. Removing this nut (only nut inside the cylinder), MAY damage this special washer, causing an internal leak within the cylinder. In addition, Vern does not stock this item (since nobody was supposed to remove this nut in the first place) and you'll have to call the manufacturer directly if you damage this washer like I did. As a temporary fix, I used one of the extra O-rings I had laying around and inserted this O-ring into the shaft and used the washer to squeeze the o-ring and create a seal. Seems to work fine for now, at least until I get my special washers order...
