I made three modifications to my L-235 horizontal stab.

First, I replaced the single rib on the centerline with two ribs separated
by roughly 6 inches so that each rib was aligned over the support area on
the fuselage/vertical stab.

Second, I installed an additional partial spar at approximately 25% of
chord (including the elevators). I made this spar out of 1/4" foam core
with 2 bid, and attached it with one bid. I ran it out to the ribs in the
middle of the span. It's something like 24" long, but I can't remember
without digging out the progress photos.

I also installed some nylon tubing inside the horizontal stab so I could
install a wire nav antenna later on if I wanted. But it is probably
impossible for me to reach that area of the tail cone now even if I wanted
to. Sounded like a good idea at the time...
