    I am thinking about replacing my nylaflo lines with aluminum lines.  I
like your idea of using 1/8 inch lines.  How do you plan on getting around
the corner at the lower  inside if the firewall?  The line comes through a
conduit under the floor and bends sharply upwards.  I don't think the line
is flexible enough to snake in there like a wire.
I assume that you are planning on using the 5052-0 aluminum tubing.  I guess
you could come around the corner with a 90 deg. elbow.

[As I am a long way from that part of my project, I really haven't had an
opportunity to look at the actual mechanical requirements of the
installation.  Using a coil-spring type bender, however, should make
the routing of the tubing a simple matter, as much of it should be
able to be bent in place.  Getting from below the floorboard to the
footwell (where flexible pressure line is required) will most likely
be accomplished using bulkhead AN fittings, providing the transition
from one tubing type to the other at the most logical place.   I also
anticipate using sweeping curves below the seat pans to allow the
connection to the bulkhead fittings that will get the lines from inside
 the cockpit out into the wheelwells, which should also minimize the
requirement for any really sharp bends in the hard lines.
