When it's wet, that length is OK on landing, but very marginal on take off and only doable with the weight down near 2700#. The other problem is that you can't run up any where near full power before releasing the brakes because the plane will just slide on the locked wheels. The gear is very stout and outside of hitting a good sized rock, you should have no trouble with the nose gear. I've also flown out of many dirt strips in Mexico and Central America with no problems. Use full up elevator until you get rolling about 40 kts. to save the prop and ease the load on the nose gear.
