Hold the presses.
I've gotten an e-mail from the author of a NASA research paper:

I've replied asking for, among other things, his permission to post
his e-mail to the list. I've also asked about obtaining a copy of his
paper. I've intentionally excluded the author's e-mail address and
name from this post. If he gives his permission to post his e-mail,
his name will be included.
The skinny is that the NASA research didn't find a significant
difference. At least that's my interpretation of the author's e-mail.
So maybe now those who need to can say, "Told you!" and we can drop
the topic -- or at least treat it only as a matter of personal
preference?
p.s. I'm STILL inclined to put a second throttle in our airplane. ;-)
Hey, I always said it was more a matter of personal preference for me.
Thanks to those who have shared designs and/or photos of such either
here or off-list.
